On March 12, 2020, Mainz hosted the Rhineland-Palatinate “Economic Dialogue on Blockchain,” a business framework conference on the topic of blockchain.

Overall, it becomes clear that Distributed Ledger Technology is increasingly being recognized by the public sector as an opportunity, and the development of solutions to problems in this area (transparency, automation, tamper-proofing, cost savings, etc.) is being accelerated.
Not least due to the blockchain initiative of the federal government, blockchain technology is now definitively being introduced into the public sector (see BMWi).
